Fears About Traveling to Thailand Alone?
Hello all!I was wondering if I could get some opinions about traveling solo to Thailand as a female in her young twenties. I have only been out of the country a few time (once with a school trip to Spain/Portugal and a few times to Canada) and am just a bit nervous about venturing by myself. I am hoping to go to Thailand this upcoming spring and stay for about a week, visiting Bangkok, Chiang Mai, and possibly Phuket. I would like to stay in hostels and plan a few tours but without a tour group.I have always wanted to travel to Thailand and experience SE Asian culture, but lots of my family fears that I am taking on too much for my first real trip out of the country, never mind my first solo trip. Of course, I am a bit nervous as well and fear that something might happen and I have no one to reach out to in Thailand, yet at the same time I think my excitement extends past my fear.Any words of advice or experience solo traveling in Thailand?
