DC to Florida Roadtrip
Hi everyone! I'm planning on doing a week long road trip with my boyfriend next week for my birthday, we are from Virginia/DC and planning on renting a car to go down to Miami. We're in our mid-20s, like nature, new places, new food, and generally just like to explore and try new things.
So the itinerary that I've planned out so far is leaving on the 8th (Monday), passing by Richmond, and probably staying the night in Myrtle Beach.
The second day driving and stopping in Jacksonville, FL for the night. Wednesday and Thursday we are thinking of staying in the Key West, trying maybe snorkeling, scuba diving, parasailing, maybe standup paddling.
Friday through Sunday in Miami, I'd like to see the Wynwood Walls, probably go to the Everglades, see some alligators. Maybe go out and try the clubs one night.
If anyone has any experience, I'm wondering what there is to do in Miami, Jacksonville, or really anywhere along the drive down that would be nice to stop at and take pictures at.
We would probably be leaving the rental car in Miami and taking a train back on Monday the 15th.
Any advice would really help and greatly appreciated!!
