Winter cross country advice? What to do and what to see. Massachusetts departure.
Hi everybody,
My wife and I have always dreamed about taking a cross country road trip, but it seems as though life has always held us back. She is an occupational therapist and works full time year round. I am and underground utility worker and usually have a few months off in the winter. This year my wife is sadly getting laid off as her company is downsizing, but on a bright side it is giving us a lot unexpected time off together.
Although its not the ideal time to take a road trip, we really want to try and make the best of a crappy situation. We have no real plans yet but we are thinking of heading south to Florida, and then west down the coast and eventually hitting California and maybe Colorado and Utah somewhere in there to do some skiing or something.
We really have no idea what to see or do along the way, let alone in the winter months. Any help would be absolutely greatly appreciated.
