My sister invited herself to my solo trip and I need help before she buys the tickets
Posting on a throwaway since we are both on reddit.I've been planning a dream trip to New York for the past 3 months. I booked hotel and flight arrangements in April, along with creating an extensive list of things to do and places to eat. I've always loved the city and this is the first time I'll ever visit. It's the first personal vacation in over 5 years and most importantly, I am considering moving here if I really connect with New York and it's atmosphere.My sister has been going through some really tough personal times, and last night we facetimed and caught up. I mentioned my trip towards the end of the conversation because it was exciting and I wanted to end the call on a good note. She seemed very happy for me and asked exactly when I would be going. I told her and ended the call.She facetimed me this morning and asked me again the dates and hotel I would be staying at. I provided the information and she replied that she would be thrilled about coming along. I was so caught off guard by this I simply replied with "Yea that sounds good." She started asking about things we could do and I kinda tried to indirectly say no by saying my room only had one bed (not exactly a strong statement I know.)My vacation is for 2 weeks and she plans on arriving after the first week and staying with me in my 1 bedroom hotel for the entire 2nd week. I'm really upset and I don't know what to do. I regret mentioning my trip and I feel like it completely change the dynamic of this very personal vacation for me.
