Is your travel personality and your at home personality different?

When I've told people about my upcoming trip and what I'll be doing, a lot of them are very surprised because I'm a very introverted person and I don't really like going out or doing a lot of socializing. On my trip I'll be living with a bunch of strangers and talking to people every day, and often having to talk in a language I only speak a little of. It's extremely outside my comfort zone. In fact in the city I live in now, I've lived here almost 5 years and I've probably seen like 1/4th of the city. There are local things I've never done, have no desire to do, but yet I'm willing to fly to the other side of the world and do things. Maybe I don't find where I live exciting enough. Idk. Travel me and at home me are definitely different people. via /r/solotravel http://bit.ly/2IqRVBO
