First ever solo trip! 4 day in Kosovo
I'll be heading to Kosovo for my first ever solo trip! I am an American but I currently live and work in Macedonia. I've also never been to another European country other than Macedonia! I felt like Kosovo was a good choice because it is so close (2 hours by bus from where I live) and I learned to speak a little bit of Albanian for work.My Itinerary:July 9 - Prishtina (arrive early in the morning and just explore. I'm only spending one day here, as I've been told there are other places in Kosovo with much more to do, and you can pretty much see what you need to see in one day here)July 10-11 - Prizren - I've been told that this is the real jewel of Kosovo. Well preserved architecture, a great social/nightlife scene, and very pretty sites/monuments. I'll be spending two days here.July 12 - Peja? This is my return day, so I'm planning on either taking a day trip to Peja to see the famous red monastery and then coming back to Prizren to return to Macedonia, or just skipping Peja and spending another full day in Prizren? Not sure what to do here.Any suggestions for other things to do? I won't be driving so most of the stuff needs to be reachable with public transportation.
