Upcoming Trip to Amsterdam, Brussels, and Paris
Hi guys! Long time lurker on this sub, but never been solo travelling myself so far. That's about to change, and I'm looking for a little advice if you're willing to oblige :)
I've been wanting to have a little trip for a while now and decided (on a whim) to go for it on 20th May. I'm going out of London onto Amsterdam then onto Brussels and finally Paris (staying three nights in each place). I'm wondering the kinds of things you guys would recommend that are good to do both in terms of sightseeing in the day and maybe a little nightlife (if I'm not feeling too tired from the day outings). My plan is to check into hostels and meet people there, but I'm going to be doing most things by myself I imagine.
I'm pretty flexible on the mid-part of my itinerary - i.e. Brussels isn't necessarily fixed and I'm open to suggestions about other places to visit further south on the way to Paris in Belgium and northern France as alternatives/in addition, but I've wanted to visit Amsterdam for a few years and I'll be meeting my friend in Paris at the end.
I have a few ideas of things to do (museums, boat tours, maybe some battlefield visits in Belgium/northern France), but anything you could suggest would be immensely helpful. I'm very excited for my first solo trip and I want to make it one to remember!
