Rental Car Pitfalls
Hello everyone, I’m an under 25 year old looking to get AAA in order to rent a car for 4 weeks in the Western US. I am a bit scared though, as I will be flying out and then picking up the car. I have a few questions.
Is there any way they would deny me even with the AAA discount and leave me stranded?
How accurate is Hertz’s “pay now” price on their website? Right now it’s showing about $850. How much can I expect them to increase this?
I’m under my parent’s insurance policy. Will this work for a rental car even if I’m not the holder?
Overall, what can go wrong? If they ask for a huge increase in price at the checkout area, will I be SOL?
I have never rented a car before and I’ll be alone at the beginning of this trip, so I’m just trying to get my bearings. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
