I know this has been asked a lot and the general consensus is that you should buy an onward ticket, as the airline is the one that usually checks.

And some people have said immigration checked but some say they didn’t. What’s your experience with this?

I’m currently in HK with a return ticket to the US already booked, do you think I could use this as “proof of onward travel”?

I was thinking of flying out Thursday and stay there for 2-3 weeks. Either with Air Seoul or Jeju Air, any experience with this airlines when it comes to this type of thing?
