Look for tips about phone charging / hiding while asleep in a hostel?
I have already a few stays in a hostel but I am relying fully on my phone about tickets and navigation. If I lose my phone I am fully lost. Do you have a backup?
I have a little anxiety about what to do with my phone while I sleep. Usually I keep my phone in airplane mode near my pillow with alarm on when I am sleeping and instead of charging my phone I am charging a battery that later I can use to charge my phone when I am awake. I am too scared to leave my phone on a charger and away from me, because someone from the hostel room might steal it.
Once I lost a towel that I had put on top of my bed to dry out. Someone from my room suggested that the cleaning lady assumed that it was a towel from the hostel and took it to wash it. It was already quite dirty but I am not sure. The hostel gave me a new towel for free but wasn't the same quality.
How do you handle phone charging and what do you do with your phone at night?
