Handling flings while solo traveling
[Edit: Not referring strictly to physical relationships. Moreso the process of putting in the effort to build a relationship/friendship with someone new every few days]
Anybody struggle with constantly meeting cool people while on the road, then just going your separate ways after a few days? To me it can be quite exhausting. The repetition of meeting someone, really hitting it off, and then splitting up after a few days is really taken a toll on me.
I have been soloing through Central EU for the past few weeks. While I have not had any troubles meeting some really cool other travelers, it is generally just for a few days at most. While I was in Prague for example, I think I fell in love (not exactly in love, but had very strong feelings after first meeting) not once but twice only to see them go after a whirlwind 48/72 hours. I am afraid it is leaving me a bit jaded towards meeting other travelers at this point because I know it will most likely only be a temporary fling.
I dont know, perhaps I am over thinking it a bit. Can anyone on this sub related or offer some advice for handling these relationships?
