From Colorado Springs, CO to Seattle, WA
Toward the end of June, my boyfriend and I will be moving from West Texas to the Olympia/Seattle area. We intend to pass through Colorado Springs (seeing family), but aren't sure how many cool things lay between there and Washington.
Last summer we drove Texas->Phoenix->Disney->up the coast (Monterey, Redwoods, Portland, etc) to WA. We loved a lot of that, and the coast offers lots of cool experiences and sights, but since we want to hit CO this time, we'll pass on all that.
We realize Yellowstone is somewhat along the way, so we're considering heading a bit north for that.
We have about a week for the drive and it's pretty flexible right now. We're fairly outdoorsy, nerdy, and young. My boyfriend likes honey, mead, local beers, and we both like trying good food.
Any suggestions? That part of the country draws a blank for me. (Sights? Foods? Cat cafes? Anything.)
I've been checking Atlas Obscura too, but wanted a redditor's input! :)
