First time traveling - Spain in August?
I am a 23 year old (female) who is planning to take her first trip to Europe this August... solo. I have never traveled out of America alone before. I will be flying in and out of Barcelona, unless you suggest otherwise. I have picked Spain as my summer desination because I speak some Spanish and the flights are inexpensive. I am mostly interested in people watching, architecture, beaches, and cheap food. I would like to avoid tourist traps and crowded museums. My goal for this trip is to spend as little money as possible while feeling like I’ve successfully immersed myself in a different culture. I want to spend about $1,000 dollars over the course of my trip. Do you think I can live off of $1000 over 10 days in Spain? Any recommendations for cities or towns to visit? Will I die of the heat in August? Any insight is helpful.
