Hey guys, I am 18 years old (woman) and will be traveling alone for my first time in Austria for 7 days. I speak German (the Austrian dialect is very different but most Austrians can also speak standard German) and Austria seems super safe. But I'm not going to lie, I'm a bit nervous!! I'll be going to Vienna and Hallstatt, and possibly Salzburg. I'll probably just be going to art museums and cafes and stuff, but still. Any tips from the pros? Thanks!

Also, what are some ways I can make some friends with other solo travelers? Should I stay in hostels instead of Airbnbs?
