I (20M) plan on driving through Arizona, New Mexico, Texas and Oklahoma on the way to St. Louis, and am driving back later in the summer and plan on going through Kansas, Colorado, Utah, and Nevada that time.

I get that this is a pretty wide area but I'm trying to hit as many states as possible on both trips, any suggestions of cool things to stop by on the way?

I was thinking of basically taking the I-40 to the I-44 there (with some detours on the way to see the grand canyon etc.) and the I-70 to the I-15 back
