Hi everyone! This might sound like a really stupid question but I can’t quite figure it out - how do you all physically carry both your daypack and backpack while travelling between destinations?

I’m instinctively averse to having my larger backpack on my back along with my daypack on my front, because one of the key parts of backpacking is mobility, and this would really decrease my mobility.

I’ve considered looking at backpacks with detachable daypacks, but is this the only alternative?

I host a podcast so will need to travel with my laptop and a small mic, neither of which could withstand being thrown around in the hold luggage of a plane, but I’m not sure that a detachable daypack would be suitable for carrying a laptop or mic. Any thoughts?
