Colombia, Cuba, or Puerto Rico?
Hello! I'm planning a trip for this summer with one of my favorite travel planning styles- pick a cheap flight and see what happens.
For the month of June there are really cheap tickets from my city to Colombia, Cuba, and Puerto Rico. If you were me which would you pick and why? There are also cheap tickets to Costa Rica, Mexico City, El Salvador, and the US Virgin Islands, but the other 3 interested me the most. I'm totally open to other ideas though- I just feel a strong travel itch and am excited to plan a trip for the summer.
About me-
I'm 24, a white woman, and I only know a little bit of Spanish. I'll probably plan to travel for about 2 weeks, and I like to stay on the cheaper side of things. I don't like to party, and the things that draw me when I travel are food, nature, and interesting buildings/architecture.
I've traveled solo in the past and loved it but I've never been to South America and I am concerned about safety since I'll be traveling alone- I don't want to buy into fear-based lies about these countries, but I also don't want to be naive and put myself in dangerous situations as a solo female traveler.
