Career break and travel for a year
I had a plan and a budget saving plan for my trip to South East Asia this fall. I still have my freelance job but sadly I didn't pass my probation at my office job so I now have to re-plan my budget and find a new job.
I can't travel before August because that's when the contract for my flat expires. My dad, as parents do, has discouraged me from travelling but being thirty I know I don't have to do what my folks say. Especially as my dad travelled when he was my age.
I have a bit of money saved and my freelance jib earns me £550 per month so realistically I could get by on that but I don't know what to do.
I don't want to go back to a 9-5 office job and watch my life pass me but taking the leap to do a career gap is scary. I don't know what countries to visit or where to start?
Any insights, support or suggestions are very welcome.
Am f30 from Scandinavia but lives in the UK.
