Adding unnecessary connecting flight beyond my destination
Hey everyone,
I am booking a round-trip flight ticket through a travel agent from USA (Seattle) to India. The travel agent came up with this sneaky trick that reduced the airfare drastically. Basically while coming back to Seattle, they want me to go from India to layover stop to Seattle to SF. They asked me collect baggage at Seattle and not show up for the SFO flight the next day! Moreover, they asked me to just say that I want to collect my luggage in Seattle itself before I check in my luggage in India. This seems smart, but just want to make sure if anyone had similar experience with this. Will I face issues with luggage, immigration officers etc.? What do I say to immigration officers? Do I list Seattle as my final destination in the immigration form even though my ticket says SF?
