Vietnam (June - Son Doong Trek)
Hey all,
I'm planning a bit of a last minute trip to Vietnam with the sole focus of doing the Oxalis Son Doong trek.
With my work I'm really trying to make this trip only about the trek and really not much more (hoping to save some PTO so I can take another trip later in the year - not trying to push my luck!). I'm trying to decide how many days I think I'll need to safely get over jet lag and make the trek.
MY PRIMARY QUESTION: What is the easiest way to get to Dong Hoi? Is it flying from Hanoi as I suspect or should I consider flying into Ho Chi Minh City and flying from there? Or is there an easy bus/train that might make more sense (even if it takes a bit longer)?
I'm open to any additional advice, recommendations or things to consider as I prep for this trip (especially if any of you have done the trek before). I've done a good bit of solo travel (Istanbul, Tanzania, South America) so I'm not too worried about making this happen, but I won't turn down any tips!
