Traveling to Budapest at the End of July, First-Time
Yesterday I got offered to be part of a project in Hungary, for the month of July. I will be staying in the countryside, SE Hungary for three weeks with my research group but decided to stay another week in Europe after it's over.
I was thinking of starting in Budapest then Vienna, and possibly Prague. But I have never been to Europe before, and am kind of nervous. Some people have made comments about safety and I have solo traveled in Tokyo and Bangkok, is Europe easier or harder? That being said, I have a couple of other questions and hope some of you guys can offer any travel tips, activity suggestions, and where to stay/visit:
-What are some must-try foods/restaurants that Hungary is known for? -Any hostel suggestions, or should I do cheap hotels? -Should I rent a wifi box from the airport? -I want to do touristy activities but not break the bank, what are some fun things to do? -How much (in a range) do you guys tend to spend a day on food and activities over there?
I can't think of any other questions right now, and more stress on saving up for the next two months (oh boy haha) but I truly appreciate anyone who comments, thank you!!
