Hello everyone,

I seem to have a good prospect for an apartment to rent for a month in northern Chios. I've been to Greece before, but not traveled to any islands very far from mainland. Can anyone advise on the best way to get to Chios?

I will have time at my disposal, but prefer not to take a ferry unless its way cheaper.

Also, I am going to be coming from Romania, so entering through northern Greece. I wonder if it makes sense to seek a plane or ferry that leaves from a northern city? Or if it will be cheaper and faster to just fly to Athens from Bucharest or Sofia and then go from there.

If anyone has any tips or info about Chios specifically, or surrounding islands, it would be appreciated. I'll be in the village of Kardamyla.
