The first thing I get asked when I come home after traveling is, “are you glad to be home?”. I lie every single time.
I just got back from a solo trip I took just before starting my job next week. I did the ol’ road trip out west, just to Colorado and New Mexico this time - nothing too special to the average joe.
Visited my grandparents, did a bit of hiking, drove the Million Dollar Highway which is the most gorgeous drive I’ve ever done, and ended up exploring Santa Fe, NM for a little bit.
Santa Fe absolutely stole my heart, the old plaza is charming and historical.
My parents asked me when I got home if I was glad to be home, I told them yes - it was a long trip and I’m glad to be in my own bed. I lied. I don’t want to be home, I wasn’t ready to come home. I’m never ready to come home.
