Someone came into my room
Just lost my story because of fat fingers on mobile so I will try again.
I'm staying at a social hostal, they advertise social things every day. I went to a live music event a few blocks away with a large group of people staying at the hostel. I left my girlfriend alone in the room. She prefers to be naked, and so she was when a staff member attempted to enter the room. He said it was for exterminating pests, but it was like 10pm, and he knew (or thought) that the hostal was empty. She thinks he was looking to steal. In any case he did not properly knock or announce entry and did not leave right away when she screamed at him to get the fuck out. Understandably she was distraught and didn't get any sleep. So here we are 12 hours later, and now I'm miserable because she is miserable. We have to leave because she was traumatized. The hostal offered me a refund, but I know that the repercussions of this event cost me a lot more than 20 dollars in emotional distress. What should I do? Has anyone had an experience like this? The dorm rooms here are cheap, and we paid extra for a PRIVATE ROOM. Here is the review I left: Facilities were nice however I paid or a private room, and we were disturbed by someone who claimed to be cleaning for rodents. They did not properly knock and after addressing us did not leave the room immediately... he looked like he was coming into my room to steal things. It was incredibly unprofessional and we felt extremely uncomfortable after being disturbed. Could not sleep, had to leave. If you want any amount of privacy at all go somewhere else. We were hoping to stay longer but had to leave.
