Solo trip is too...lonely
Hey all! Mostly just venting. I’ve done many solo trips, and one of the neat parts about them is meeting new ppl in the hostel and going on adventures. I like exploring on my own, but after a few days I need social contact. Honestly, one of the main reasons I travel is bc I usually make more friends and feel less lonely than I do at home.
I’m on the next to last day of a 2 week trip, and I haven’t had a conversation beyond ordering food/checking in the entire time. I stayed in 3 different hostels, and each time I was the only person in my dorm. The pub crawl and free walking tour were both cancelled bc only I signed up. The time zone is completely opposite from home so I’ve barely even had any text/phone convos. Just feeling really lonely and wishing I could go home.
Anyone else had trips like this where some element was just missing?
