solo travel destinations after SEA and Europe
I have about 6 weeks free this summer and am looking for a solo (female) travel destination that would be good for someone who has already done SEA and Europe solo, i.e. a somewhat experienced solo traveller but not exactly a hardened adventurer (though I have also been to North America, the Middle East and many more destinations in Europe with friends and family).
I like mountains, lakes and other dramatic nature, and I'm also interested in history (a broad statement I know). My favourite place I have been so far is the Ha Giang loop, Vietnam - I think what I liked best about it was the amazing scenery, the feeling of freedom that comes with having the bike, and the fact that there was more interaction with the locals there than other places I had been. So I'm looking for somewhere that would be similar to that, but I don't really want to return to SEA yet.
I was considering Central Asia for a long time and that's still an option but I am somewhat concerned that there wouldn't be too many other solo travellers there, as I do like to meet others when I travel, and as a vegan I'm also a little worried about what I would eat. I have also been considering Israel/Palestine/Jordan because I find the historical/political situation very interesting, and I think the food would be great.
However I would accept suggestions from basically anywhere in the world except USA, Canada and Europe. I'm a 21 year old woman flying from Europe with about $2200 to spend including flights.
