Semi-Disabled, Super short layover at DFW, need advice
I'll try to make this as concise as possible. I have cancer and I'll be going through chemo when I travel. This will make me semi-disabled as I really don't have a lot of stamina but could probably handle walking about a mile. I will be solo this part of the journey but I'll be camping with a group.
The issue is, I know DFW is a huge airport. I'm worried I'll have to go to a different terminal. My layover is 43 minutes. Here's my worry: If I get wheelchair assistance I'll have to wait on the plane until everyone debarks. I can walk off the plane but that seems to be the rule they've had lately. And who knows if the wheelchair assistance will arrive on time. I might be able to try walking but I don't know if I can walk fast enough without resting to get to the other terminal if needed. I am also embarassed to get wheelchair assistance because I look very healthy.
Can I get some advice please?
