Rough Packing List for 1 Year Trip in Asia. How does it look?
I'm departing in two weeks for a trip to Asia that may last a year. I'm excited and nervous as this is the first real solo long term trip I have ever done. One thing that I have been struggling putting together is what exactly I should bring with me. I've done some research and have found conflicting opinions across the board, but the general consensus is to travel light. Here's a rough draft of what I am thinking of bringing so far. Please give any thoughts or concerns that you may have with it. I'm a guy in his 20s and will be mostly staying in SE Asia but my itinerary is unknown.
Backpack:
- Deuter FUTURA PRO 36L
- Eaglecreek Packing Cubes
Clothes:
- 5 t-shirts
- 1-2 pair of travel pants
- 5 Boxers
- 2-3 Pairs of lightweight travel shorts/hybrid swim trunks
- 1 light long sleeve shirt
- 1 portable waterproof jacket
- 1 pair flip flops
- 3-5 Pairs nice socks
- 1 pair vans style /hybrid sneaker hiking shoes
Electronics:
- 1 Smartphone
- 1 Power Bank
- 2 USB-C Charge cables
- USB Plug+Travel adapter
- 1 11.6" Chromebook with Charge cable
- 1 Extra Phone battery
Toiletries:
- Deodorant Stick
- Sunscreen Stick
- Bug Spray/stick
- Electric Shaver/trimmer
- Wet Wipes
- Shampoo tabs
- Toothy tabs
- Travel Towel
Misc

So that's the basic list I have setup right now. What do you guys think? Any suggestions are welcome
