Phone GPS/map or a dedicated GPS?
Im 100% retarded on this subject and have never done long road trips or used GPS before so be gentle.
What would be the best option for long distance travelling and navigating efficiently?
1) Using your phone and some sort of offline app (HERE WeGO maps for example) or
2) Some sort of dedicated GPS device?
Ive never used a dedicated GPS device and only ever used HERE WeGO for short trips in my city.
My other concern is power consumption. I have no idea how long a phone charge would last using a navigation / map app. For example, if I use a phone app Im sure this would drain my battery very quickly, but can invest in a battery pack. Same concern for the GPS device, how long the battery would survive.
Would appreciate any advice on this topic.
