PA <-> WA: National Parks Roadtrip in August (2 people, ~20 days)
Hey guys. My friend and I are planning a post-graduation cross country roadtrip where we want to hit as many national parks out west as we can. We have most of August to work with- about 20 days give or take. Will likely drive a newer subaru crosstreck.
We are planning on camping out of our car for the most part, with a few possible motel/hotel overnights built in. We dont mind driving long days but we also dont want to skip too quickly through the parks themselves (want at least one full day in each park).
We want to drive straight to Colorado/Utah Parks, then Yellowstone, then Olympic in WA. Then we would basically drive straight home after WA. -Do you guys think this is realistic for our time frame? - Any ball-park estimates for total cost?
Any suggestions or tips are appreciated. (I.e. hidden costs to think about; general advice; car camping advice; roadtrip food; specific "cant-miss" national park spots).
Thanks all in advance!
