One month itinerary for Peru
Hey guys, I wondered if someone could sense-check my itinerary for a month in Peru this summer. It’s my first time solo travelling and I want to do as much as possible but I’m worried I’ll run out of time! I haven’t booked anything yet so if I particularly like/dislike a place I might vary how long I stay, but this is the rough plan:
- Day 1-3 - Lima
- Day 4 - Paracas
- Day 5 - Huacachina
- Day 6 - overnight bus to Arequipa (stopping at Nazca viewing tower and Pisco on the way)
- Day 7-8 - Arequipa
- Day 9-10 - Colca Canyon trek
- Day 11 - Arequipa
- Day 12-13 - Puno and Lake Titicaca
- Day 14 - overnight bus to Cusco
- Day 15-23 - Cusco (incl Machu Picchu and Rainbow Mountain treks)
- Day 24 - flight to Iquitos
- Day 25-26 - Amazon jungle trek
- Day 27-29 - Lima
I’ve heard Puno wasn’t worth a full day visit let alone two, would people agree? I thought Lake Titicaca sounded super cool.
