One day in Paris. My first time there. Where to go! What to see? Hidden gems!?
I’m traveling to Greece for my full trip, but am arriving in Paris in the morning and have my connection late at night. Want to know the best places to go worth cramming into 8 hours or so! Food, sites, views ect.
Planning on taking local transportation to the Eiffel Tower first, and want to know the best spots to hit in reasonable walking distance from there. My plan is to explore around the Eiffel Tower, then cross the river and walk along the water until I reach the Louvre Museum. From there I am pretty close by to Notre Dame so will finish around there before returning to the airport. The walk without stopping would only take about an hour, so am wondering what else to pass by in that time frame.
Budget: For one day, around 100 euros for trying plenty of new foods, and maybe tickets to the Louvre or other museum type things.
Interests: Yummy food, thrift stores, cute cafes/bakeries (in the movies you always see people in Paris outside a cafe with a coffee and a croissant and I have always wanted to do that!), hole in the wall gems, whether it be a restaurant, antique store, thrift store, etc., local spots to get a drink and have a conversation with someone new.
I enjoy traveling very much, I lived in Greece for a few months in the past and am very excited to return. That was a time that I was extra adventurous, and I miss those feelings of freedom and excitement that you get from being in a new place with a fresh start.
Again only have about 8 hours in Paris, so want to know what’s worth fitting in besides the 3 tourist landmarks I’ve listed above. Thanks in advance! :)
