Looking for opinions on my Spain and Portugal itinerary!
Hi solo travelers! I’m heading to Spain and Portugal this May-July and am looking for opinions on my itinerary! My flights and hostels are already booked and I have my Alhambra ticket. Is there anything else that I need to book far in advance? I’m planning on doing a walking tour the first day in a new place to get a feel for the city. I’m very interested in architecture, museums (super excited for the Dali museum!), and nature (love hiking). I’m a 24F and can speak basic Spanish. My budget is about $3000 max, not including flights/accommodations. Also I’m a vegetarian (ovo-lacto) and would love some vegetarian restaurant recommendations! Thanks in advance!!
Here is my itinerary:
Barcelona 7 days with day trips to Figueres and Montserrat
Valencia 4 days
Toledo 3 days
Madrid 4 days
Granada 4 days
Malaga 4 days with plans to hike the Caminito del Rey
Cordoba 3 days
Ronda 2 days
Seville 4 days
Faro 1 day
Lagos 5 days with days trips to Cape st Vincent and Silves and plans to hike the Ponta da Piedade, Seven Hanging Valleys Trail, Rocha de Pena Trail
Lisbon 8 days with day trips to Sintra, Cascais, and Obidos
Porto 7 days with day trips to Guimaraes, Braga, Costa Nova, and Douro Valley
