Looking for off the radar stops for almost 4k mile road trip from IL>MO>KS>CO>UT>AZ>NM>TX>OK
Just trying to find the hidden jewels of the country that aren't listed on travel sites.
On May 30 my wife, 6 kids, and the in-laws are renting a 15 passenger van and embarking on a pretty nice trip. Along the way we will see some family and have things that we absolutely plan to do but I am looking for some things that I would be happy to learn about that I might not find when I simply search Google. The absolute places are seeing my brother in Denver CO, going to the 4 corners, going to the GC (not sure which part, open to suggestions), going to Benson AZ to see my other brother, taking the kids to Tombstone (I've been and yes I know its a tourist trap, but I want my kids to see it), maybe going through Roswell NM and coming back home which is East of St. Louis in Rural IL.
We have secured an ABnB in Denver and 1 close to Tombstone, but haven't gotten any others yet due to just not being fully sure yet. Our travel dates are 5/30-6/11.
