Title pretty much says it all.

I walked around the Old Town today and it has to be the most touristy place I've been in all SEA. Nothing but clothing and souvenir shops and western cafes/restaurants. All the locals hustling tourists hard for money and overcharging ridiculous amounts (had one lady try charging me 250k VND for a small bag of fruit until I got her down to 50k). It's a pretty city to look at but I was expecting a lot more with the great reputation this place has. All the travel blogs rave about this place being the best city they've ever been to. What am I missing?

One thing I do have to give this place credit for is the Cao Lau. That shit is delicious.

I've got 2 more nights here then I'm heading to Da Nang. Is there anything here really worth seeing before I go? I'm not interested in temples (seen way too many temples in the 4+ months I've been here), I've travelled by land from Northern Laos to Cambodia to HCMC now back up to here so I've seen enough rice fields, I've heard the beaches are a bit 'meh', etc.
