Hiking in Scotland looking for clothing suggestions
Hello All!
I (30F) will be traveling to Scotland this upcoming May for two weeks. Most of my travel will be taking me through the Highlands and I will be spending a good amount of the time hiking and visiting archaeological sites on Skye and the Orkneys. Most of my previous travel has been in arid countries in Africa, and I'm feeling a little lost when it comes to packing for a country known for their rain, as well as generally colder temperatures than I am use to.
Specifically, I am hoping to get recommendations for clothing (pants, shirts, socks, etc.) people have found useful that would be great for hiking and outdoor activities, with temperatures in the 40s and 50sF, and a high chance of rain. I am hoping to pack rather lightly, so items that are quick drying and don't take a ton of space would be perfect.
Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
