Hiking in High Tatras (Slovakia) vs Julian alps (Slovenia) in early October
I am looking for places where I can go for a solo casual 2-3 day hike in central europe in late September/early October. Hiking in High tatras and Julian Alps specifically Triglav national park look like good options to me but I am having trouble deciding between them. I have been on casual 2-3 day hikes before in the Himalayas so although I am not completely new to this but I will classify myself as a casual beginner.
Ginger monkey hostel in Slovenian part of the High Tatras or the base camps in Zakopane seem like a good base point .
Triglav national park with its really well documented trails , huts ,etc look pretty good to me too but I am unsure of what should be my base /starting point.
Any suggestions on what would be suite better to my use case of a casual 1,2 or 3 day hike in late September/early October ? Will it be ok to camp in the designated campgrounds areas or will it be too cold to do that this part of the year?
