HELP! Arrived one day to early in Vietnam

Hey guys,

I messed up when I applied for our 30 day visa to Vietnam and set the issue date 1 day to late. The immigration police at the airport gave us two choices:

1) to enter the country with the free 15 days visa

2) to wait 15 hours till the next day and enter the country with our 30 day visa.

After being tired from 38 hours travel from Australia we decided to just take the 15 days and try to find a solution while in Vietnam.

Now were in Ha Giang (doing the loop, it’s INCREDIBLE highly recommended) and have 5 days left and don’t really know what to do.

We could leave to Laos and come back, but our time is limited and we would have to pay for the Laos visa and the 2 way travel.

I was wondering if there are any ways to use our 30day visa, has someone already similar experienced?
