First trip outside the U.S.
Hey, I'm new here. I was referred to this subreddit via random travel blog lol.
Anyway, I'm heading to Mexico next Wednesday, and it's my first time outside the U.S. I'll be in Cancun, staying at a hostel in El Centro for 9 days, travelling by myself.
I'm really not sure what logistics I need to take care of on my end before leaving (other than calling the bank, lol did that already), and I'm not entirely sure of what I'll be doing when I get there either. I lightly planned on figuring out a way to go explore some Mayan ruins, but that's about it.
I was hoping that I might be able to find some insight on first time international travel logistics, (visa stuff, transportation, phone service etc...)(I'm honestly clueless in regards to all of this) and possibly some good experience from other travelers who have explored Cancun and the surrounding areas.
Also, it may be important to note that I am 26, and I'm only able to spend about $500 during this entire trip, lol I'm very broke.
