First time solo traveler. Itinerary help please?
Hello everyone.
After lurking for a few months I finally purchased a ticket to Portugal! I’ve travelled out of the country many times but this will be my first time alone. I won’t be renting a car so I’d prefer going places that are easily accessible by bus or train. I want to spend a few nights in each place (with a couple of day trips) so I don’t feel too rushed. I (35F) would love to walk the cities, meet people, appreciate architecture and history, see a fado show, do some port tours and lounge on the beach with a book. Any advice would be appreciated.
Sept. 13th-26th
13-16th Lisbon with day trips to Sintra, Belem and Cascais
16th Travel day to Porto
16-20th Porto with day trips to Braga and Duoro Valley for wine tasting
20th Travel day back to Lisbon
20-21st Night in Lisbon to break up the travel time
21st Travel day to Lagos
21-25th Lagos and day trip to Benagil Caves
25th back to Lisbon
leave early morning for the airport on 26th
