First solo trip to Thailand next week, have a quick question regarding suitcases and backpacks.

I'm going to Thailand for 16 days and will be taking an osprey porter 46 with me that i've never used. I'm a little concerned that it's not going to be as mobile as my rolling suitcase but wanted to see what your guys' experience was. I was also considering bringing my herschel duffel but have to check if it will fit as a carry on.

Here is my itinerary:

1st Week:

  • Bangkok for 2-3 days

  • Fly to chiang mai, Chiang mai for 2-3 days

  • Pai (day trip)

2nd Week:

  • Fly to Krabi

  • Island hopping wherever I want

I also only plan on bringing mostly shirts, tank tops, linen pull overs, 2 shorts, 1 pants, 1 dressier shirt so packing will be pretty minimal. Planning on buying sandals over there and wearing my ultraboosts in my day to day until I can find sandals. Probably will do some light shopping as well.
