Can i get a 144-hour visa without third country?
I've been reading about it and am a little confused. I haven't bought my tickets because of this.
I would be going from USA to Shanghai non-stop. And returning directly to USA. However, one thing I'm reading says you have to depart to a third country different from the initial one. I will add the article, the section I'm referring to is the second bullet point explaining the A-B-C.
My question is: Has anyone been to China on a 144 hour Visa without a third country involved, just point A-B? It would be costly to have a second point before returning to USA.
Thanks

Edit: I think I would have to have a third country, but I was just wondering if anyone was successful in getting one with just returning to the country of origin.
