Australia WHV Questions
Hi! 28F from the US here seriously considering a WHV!
I've noticed that the most recent posts about a WHV in Australia have been a little older and I wanted to see if there is any 'fresh' information out there. I am hoping to leave around October/November and I would like to find some work that isn't purely hospitality since I have a degree and office experience of 7 years, but I understand this isn't always possible. This would be my first time traveling out of the country so I'm a little nervous.
With all of that said, what kind of job opportunities could I expect? I know everyone/every city is different, but how soon did you find a job? I've been on some websites like gumtree and seek and I feel like it should be fairly easy to find a job.
What was your living situation like? I'm not sure if I would want to start out with a hostel since I'm a little older and they tend to have a party vibe. What city would you suggest for someone who likes coffee, the beach, and enjoys a couple of nights out?
Also, does anyone else take daily prescribed meds? How does that work when you're out of the country?
