I'm wanting to do a road trip later this year, going from Perth (home) to the east coast and back and looking for any route suggestions?

I'll probably have around 6-8 weeks and would like to hit the following places at some point:

  • Brisbane ( have friends there )
  • Great Ocean Road
  • The Bite

Has anyone done something similar? I'll be driving an AWD sedan, so looking to avoid any roads that are too rough, but going over a little sand won't be impossible. Planning on tenting most of the country, minus maybe the bigger cities.
