What’s the best car to do a long-distance solo road trip across Canada (and the States) with?
Hi friends! I’m a late-20s young woman who wants to solo travel/go “carpacking”(lol) across Canada over 3-4 months during the summer as a much needed break from work.
I plan to drive across a variety of terrains so ideally the car should be versatile. I’m starting in Ontario (GTA)since that’s where I live and want to terminate in Vancouver!
I’m looking at a Toyota Matrix or Rav 4.
My budget is $10,000. License is in good order, can do basic car maintenance, open to adding friends to the picture, and I don’t need much cargo space (across from accommodating my mountain bike/taking my lovely new cat).
What’s your general advice? Any places I should stop by?
(Please don’t offer AWD or manual vehicle suggestions! )
