Traveling with Prescription Medications?
Hello! I'm new to this subreddit and it's been so much fun just scrolling through posts and reading about others' experiences. I'm only 22 and I have all these dreams of traveling the world. However, with that being said, I had a question that's been bugging me. I have Bipolar Disorder and am on five different medications. (It sucks, I know.) When I'm on medications my symptoms completely disappear--I don't know where I'd be without my medications. So, obviously, I need to travel with my meds constantly. My question is this--will I have trouble crossing different countries' borders with them? Like, will foreign governments not allow me to bring certain medications? I was thinking of bringing them in labeled prescription bottles with a letter from my doctor just in case. I just want to play it very, very safely. (I'd prefer to avoid being detained or something lol.) What do you guys think? Would I be okay just doing the things I listed, or should I do other things as well?
