Travel fling w/ local
So I’ve been traveling for 3 months on my own now. I was working at hostel in Malaysia where I met this guy who lives and works in the city. We spent a 10 days together, he had to work his 9-5 and me my odd shifts. We got along so well and now Im heading to a meditation retreat. I left feeling like I wanted more time with him - keep in mind I’m 23 and I’ve never been in a relationship so this was a lot for me. I really enjoyed the fun of it all, the convos, the cute activities but now that I have to go... I realize I’ve got a big decision after my meditation which is where do I go next? He’s told me He’d really like to see me again and I him.
With solo travel I told myself to go with the flow especially since I have 5 months left. But now lust has blurred my vision I have no clue what to do.
Conflicted I wonder Do I : - go back, to a city where I’ve spent weeks already and take it easy with my working man and do things on the weekends - continue on traveling and accept this for what it was. Unlike meeting other travellers while traveling he just doesn’t have the freedom to pop up and come w/ me.
Thoughts - have you been in this situation?
