Overwhelmed by choice in South America
This is a real first world problems post but here goes:
I'm halfway through my 6 month trip to SA, I'd originally intended to spend approximately a month in each of Chile, Argentina, Bolivia, Perú, Ecuador and Colombia but instead I've spent 3 months in Chile and Argentina (with a spontaneous trip to Río for Carnival) and I've just arrived in Bolivia. This is fine and I've been having a great time but I'm overwhelmed by the amount left to see and do, particularly as I'd originally intended to travel slow and maybe even do a few workaways (I was very very naive).
It's not possible for me to change my flight home (Bogotá end of June) so I'm trying to decide whether to rush through the remaining countries or skip one or more and fly to Colombia or just carry on travelling as normal and book a last minute (probably expensive) flight to catch my flight home - I'm really just feeling paralyzed by the options and just doing nothing. I haven't helped myself by only really researching the first portion of my trip.
Do any of you have a helpful process for making decisions on the road? I know I can always come back to South America and I fully intend to but I don't know when I'm next going to get this sort of chunk of time off so want to make the most of it.
