Just Got Back From Europe - About to Book Flight To Germany for Oktoberfest
Good morning/afternoon/night fellow solo travelers! I just returned from my first trip to England, Barcelona, Amsterdam, Galway & Dublin and had posted while in Galway about end of trip blues. Well, they haven't got much better and I've been home over a week now, so I decided to take a look at my vacation time and some flight pricing for my potential next trip. I actually met a couple people from Germany while in Dublin and we swapped instagrams - they raved about how Munich is during Oktoberfest but didn't really consider that it would be a possibility. Low and behold after talking to them for the last week and doing some quick math on my vacation accrual I can make it happen. Currently tracking flights on google flights and just waiting to see the round-trip to Munich hit in the $600's and I'm booking! The travel bug is real; talking to them and looking at things to do in Germany while I would be there has been the only thing that has cheered me up since being back. And I have a feeling that once the flight is actually booked and I have it to look forward to I can get over the blues for good. Looking at being in Munich from Sept 18th - October 1st - any other solo travelers gonna be in Germany around this time? And any good hostels you guys would recommend? I really enjoyed staying in the party hostels my last trip mostly because of the social events they put on - made it super easy to meet others!
