Planning my first solo trip and trying to figure out what things I should be thinking about before going. So far I've gathered: -check the weather conditions in that country during the time you want to go -decide which airport to fly into based on ideal weather/activities to do -use sky scanner to see what dates are the most affordable in the desired time frame -compile list of possible hostels to stay at (does one book these months in advanced during peak tourist seasons?) -figure out what clothing to pack that are ideal for that climate -read reviews on the cheapest transportation options to get between major cities

Anyone have anything else I should be thinking about while in the planning phase?
